This photo was taken the day my parents found out they had a pink bun in the oven (June 1981 something or other). Aren’t they adorable? My dad with his long hair and my mom, well, I think my mom is just stunning….and believe she still is. I’d like to sincerely thank them for getting it on that summer. (I can say things like this because it’s my birthday and trust me, my parents know who I am by this point…and are as they have told me just today “very proud’ of me still.)

It is a 1219 tradition that on the morning of her birthday, work day or not, that the birthday girl be greeted with champagne and flowers. And as it is Hodder’s (Heather) 30th birthday on Saturday and I will be out of town, Jen and I supplies-ed Hodder with an early birthday breakfast of cupcakes and mimosas. It’s her party and she’ll be buzzed in the morning if she wants to…or we encourage her to be.
